The Pond at Little Orchard, Louis Turpin

Little Orchard House is centrally situated, yet in peaceful surroundings. Built around 1720, the house has been lovingly renovated over the years and retains its original, fascinating character. The bedrooms are decorated individually and have bathrooms en-suite. Personal antiques, paintings, books and bears are throughout the house, and care has been given to those small details which ensure your comfort and enjoyment. Off-street private parking is available.

There is a peaceful, panelled bookroom upstairs, with books and games for wet days, and a sitting room with an open fire where you can relax, read the papers or look through selected menus from excellent local restaurants. (We are happy to advise and make bookings on your behalf.)

Guests are welcome to use our large walled garden with its 18th century Smugglers Watchtower and deckchairs in secluded corners for enjoying a good book on summer days.

We like to encourage an informal, relaxed atmosphere, with freedom to come and go as you please.

Our generous country breakfasts feature local organic, free-range and home-made products - cooked to order - with vegetarians happily catered for.

Little Orchard House was named a County Hotel for 1995, a Hotel of the Year for 1999 and Brilliant B&B for 2002 by the Which? Hotel Guide, and awarded 5 Red Diamonds by the AA for 2004, 2005 & 2006.
